Library Holdings

The Ortigas Foundation Library is a special collection library containing nearly 21,000 Filipiniana books dating from as early as the 17th century to the present. It is comprised of three major collections, the lead being that of Attorney Rafael Ortigas, Jr., the library founder, and the collections of Jock Netzorg and Professor Gregorio F. Zaide. The collection contains rare books, 17th-21st century publications, rare maps, antiquarian photographs, botanical prints, primary documents, and artifacts. Early to contemporary Philippine history, the arts, business publications, and scholarly material comprise the Library’s subject matter. Image Bank Database

The Ortigas Foundation Library houses a collection of photographs, postcards, stereoviews and illustrated material dating from 1700s to the postwar Philippines. Subject range covers vintage scenes of Manila and provinces, heritage structures, anthropology, commerce, transportation, landscapes, and events. Numbering a total of over three thousand images, a small selection may be viewed within the website.

The library is in the process of digitizing the images for eventual viewing and possible purchase via this website.
