Our Facilities

The collections of the Ortigas Foundation Library are housed in two locations within the foundation premises.  The Main Collection Room holds the general collection while the old, rare and delicate materials are kept in the Rare Book room.  Both facilities are temperature and humidity controlled 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our collections

All newly acquired old and delicate materials pass through a rigid cleaning and fumigation process of international standards before placement in the library. The library has both dry and wet conservation facilities which conduct various processes as well as continuous upgrading and repair of archival material.

We have now opened our conservation services to the public. We have foreign-trained conservators to perform mechanical cleaning, washing (de-acidification), bleaching, fumigation, minor repairs, foxing removal, flattening, re-mounting and re-binding of books, maps and documents.
